The method

Accordion Training™

Heavy days close in to a few big lifts. Light days open up to more variety. Weight goes up only when you've earned it.

Fewer lifts, more sets of each, heavier weight. The session closes in around the big compound lifts.

Week MonChest WedLegs FriBack
Week 1 Moderate Heavy Light
Week 2 Light Moderate Heavy
Week 3 Heavy Light Moderate
Week 4 Lighter week: same days, less weight, fewer sets

The days shift by one each week, so every muscle gets a heavy, a moderate and a light session in each four-week block. The fourth week is lighter, so you recover before the next block starts.

Earned Load

Hit the top of the rep range on every set and the target moves up next time. Fall short and it waits. Weight goes up when your logs say you're ready, not because it's Monday.

Built on what the research says builds muscle: enough hard sets for every muscle, steady progression and planned recovery. bellos gets all three right for you, every week.

Why bellos

Every set has a reason

Most people stall for simple reasons: too few hard sets for some muscles, weight added at random, and no rest. bellos takes care of all three, so your time at the gym goes to lifting.

A plan that pays attention

Your next workouts are rebuilt from what you actually lifted.

  • Every muscle gets its share of sets, every week. No lopsided weeks.
  • Heavy, moderate and light days rotate, so you train every rep range without planning it.
  • Machine taken? Swap it in one tap and keep the plan's intent.

  • No feed, no badges, no streaks and no pop-ups mid-set.
  • Works with no signal. Every set is saved the moment you tap.
  • A rest timer that counts down and then gets out of the way.

The beta

Who it's for, for now

The beta plan is tuned for three lifting days a week at a commercial gym. If that's you, you'll fit right in. Plans that adapt to other schedules and goals come next.

Made for you if

  • You lift at a gym like Planet Fitness, LA Fitness or a work gym.
  • You know most common exercises and want structure without paying a coach.
  • You fit training around a job, and maybe a run or a sport too.
  • You've tried workout apps that were too busy, or stopped trusting their plans.

Probably not for you if

  • You compete in powerlifting or bodybuilding and want full manual control.
  • You're looking for meal plans or a coach to chat with.
  • You want a social feed, streaks and leaderboards.
Why we built it

We liked the training. We didn't like the app.

bellos started with a popular workout app that one of us used. The training was good: heavy days, light days, more variety when the weight came down. The app wasn't. It kept losing sets, its plans ignored what had actually been lifted, and there was no way to look back at past workouts.

So we worked out what the method actually was, wrote the rules down, checked them against the research, and built the app we wanted. It's quiet, it remembers everything, and it gets better every time someone tells us what's missing.

Questions

Before you sign up

What does the beta cost?

Nothing. The beta is free. If that ever changes, we'll tell you first, and leaving is one tap.

How do I get in?

Join the waitlist and we'll invite people in small groups, starting with those whose training fits the current plan. We send one email when your spot is ready.

What do I need?

A phone, and a gym with the usual machines, cables and dumbbells. bellos installs from your browser, works offline at the gym, and keeps your phone and computer in sync.

Is this a meal plan or a coaching app?

No. bellos plans and logs your lifting. It doesn't do meals, chat or social features, and it won't nag you.

What happens to my email and my workouts?

Your email is used to invite you and nothing else. Your workout logs are yours: we never sell them, analytics stay minimal, and you can export everything at any time. Our privacy policy has the details.
